Video lesson

Intakes

In this video lesson, You’ll learn how intakes function in TEAMS, why they’re essential for accurate enrolments and study timelines, and how standard, mid-term and rolling intakes work, including how holidays, term breaks and programs link to each intake.

You’ll be guided through:

  • What an intake is and how it groups students who start on the same date
  • Why intakes are mandatory for processing applications and creating enrolments
  • Why future intakes must be set up 1–2 years in advance to avoid workflow blocks
  • How different sectors use standard, mid-term and rolling intake structures
  • Why intake start and end dates are usually the same day
  • How to navigate to the Intakes screen in TEAMS
  • How to add a new intake and complete the required details
  • How to activate an intake and link it to the correct campus
  • How to link public holidays and create new ones if needed
  • How to link term breaks and manage break records
  • How to allocate programs to an intake and unlink them when required
  • How correct intake setup supports duration calculations, study periods, attendance and compliance

IMPORTANT: At the end of this lesson, you will need to complete the quiz before moving on to the next lesson.
