ADM – ST – Intervention Overview and Management

In this lesson, you will learn how student interventions are structured, managed, and finalised within TEAMS to support student success while meeting RTO compliance requirements. Student interventions play a critical role in identifying and supporting learners who are at risk of underperformance or non-completion, helping colleges maintain both academic integrity and regulatory compliance.

Students may progress through multiple interventions during their enrolment, with each intervention stage or level escalating the type and intensity of support provided. These intervention stages are designed to assist students in completing their assessments and successfully progressing through their enrolment. Ongoing underperformance can indicate a risk of course non-completion, making timely and structured intervention essential.

All RTOs, higher education providers, and private colleges are required to maintain documented intervention policies and procedures. Early intervention is always in the best interest of both the student and the college, as incomplete enrolments can result in academic, financial, and compliance risks. Effective intervention management helps minimise these risks while improving student retention and outcomes.

In TEAMS, intervention strategies and statuses are configured using user codes, allowing colleges to define and manage their intervention processes consistently. Each intervention can also be assigned an outcome, such as Completed Successfully or Not Completed. It is important to note that if an outcome is not linked to an intervention status, the system will treat the intervention as still active. An intervention is only considered complete once a final outcome has been recorded, ensuring accurate tracking and compliance oversight.

IMPORTANT: At the end of this lesson, you will then need to complete the quiz for it before moving on to the next Lesson.
