SA – ST – Notes Templates

In this step-by-step lesson, you’ll learn how to create and manage Notes Templates in TEAMS to support clear, consistent, and efficient communication across your organisation. Notes Templates allow you to standardise repeated messages for Enrolments, Results, Contact Logs, and Conditions, ensuring accuracy across academic and administrative workflows.

You’ll learn how to:

  • Access the Notes Template screen and understand the template listing grid.
  • Create new templates and assign details such as Campus, Applies To, Shown In, and Log Type.
  • Write and structure reusable notes for processes like RPL decisions, credit transfers, interventions, and course progress meetings.
  • Link templates to specific log types so they appear only in relevant communication logs.
  • Activate, edit, delete, and manage templates to keep your organisation’s communication consistent.
  • Insert templates using the “Insert standard text” dropdown when recording notes for students, applicants, enrolments, or agents.
  • Use templates to speed up data entry and maintain a standard format across TEAMS.

IMPORTANT: After creating a new template, ensure it is marked as Active so it appears in the “Insert standard text” dropdown when staff record notes across TEAMS.
