In this session, we’ll guide you through :-
The essential aspects of tracking and monitoring student progress to ensure they stay on track to successfully complete their courses.
Course progress monitoring is vital for maintaining compliance and supporting positive student outcomes. Colleges typically organize study periods to align with terms or semesters, with the flexibility to accommodate multiple intakes, including midterm options. Each study period typically spans 10 weeks, but the duration may vary based on the institution’s academic calendar.
The system connects course progress to study periods, tracking both attendance and academic performance. For CRICOS students, failing to maintain satisfactory progress can lead to serious consequences, including potential reporting to the Department of Home Affairs, which may impact their visa status.
Effective monitoring starts with proper setup, defining the course duration and subject sequencing. Subjects can be delivered either sequentially or simultaneously, depending on their sequence numbers. Progress is calculated based on the completion of subjects within a study period.
For ELICOS courses, attendance monitoring is equally crucial, as low attendance over two consecutive study periods may prompt intervention.
Automated notifications, such as warning letters and emails, help keep students informed about their progress. Regular compliance reporting ensures adherence to policies and regulations, supporting consistent academic success and compliance.
IMPORTANT : At the end of this lesson you will then need to complete the quiz for it before moving on to the next Lesson.
